Superintendent Finalists Announced

The Ogden Community School District Board of Education is pleased to announce Jason Gabel, Joshua Heyer, and Trevor Miller as finalists in their search for the next Superintendent of Schools.

To begin the search process, the Board prioritized the following candidate qualifications:

  • Demonstrated record of promoting student achievement
  • Recruites, hires and supports the development to retain effective staff
  • Is approachable and accessible, with strong communication skills
  • Can create a clearly defined vision and execute strategic planning
  • Effectively manage district resources

From there, the board met on December 12 and 20 to review applications and narrow the pool to the three candidates they believe best met the prioritized criteria. 

Finalist interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, January 4 in the district with teachers, staff, parents, and community members participating in the process.
