December Student of the Month

December is a time to count the blessings of the year gone by. At Ogden High School we are blessed with Michelle Blair. Whether at the forefront or behind the scenes, if it's happening at OHS, we can likely thank Michelle. She is an incredible young woman who serves her school and community with purpose and enthusiasm. She takes great pride in every class she tackles and every task she faces. Michelle is committed to excellence in her academics and everyday endeavors. Her character is unwavering and perseverance unmatched. Her dedication to family, friends, community, and school is why Michelle deserves the honor of being OHS Student of the Month.
Michelle has earned honor roll status for eight years to achieve a class rank of #1 and become a National Honor Society member. She has been awarded an academic letter, the Howard McCelland Citizenship award, E. Wayne Cooley “You Can” Award, OHS Number One Club recognition, Faculty Award of Merit, Bulldog Academic Achievement Club and multiple 4-H awards.
During her high school career Michelle has been active in volleyball, and is both basketball and track manager. Michelle has also been an active participant in the arts, including Show Choir, Chamber Choir, musicals and plays, large group and individual speech and has been involved in dance since the age of four. Michelle is involved in 4-H, CMS Club, and her church including teaching Sunday school.
Michelle is the daughter of Mark and Heidi Blair. Michelle has one sister Ashley who attends Iowa Central Community College. This summer Michelle is looking forward to gaining a brother-in-law, John Petty. The Blair's live on a farm outside of Boxholm.
Michelle has been accepted to Central College in Pella and plans to major in business and accounting.
Michelle has set her goals high for today and tomorrow. She is a wonderful young woman with a passion for life and learning. OHS is proud to have Michelle as a student, friend, and member of the OHS family.
