I grew up in Ogden and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to establish my career in the community that shaped me. While attending Iowa State University, I was fortunate to secure a coaching position for Junior High Boys Basketball. After graduating Iowa State University, a teaching position opened up as well. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading and assisting in a variety of activities, from Junior High to High School levels. Currently, I serve as the Head Coach for the High School Girls Basketball team, as well as coaching football and Shot/Discus for both boys and girls track. My diverse coaching roles have allowed me to foster student-athletes' growth and development across multiple sports, and I remain committed to providing a positive impact both on and off the field.

Ethan Bailey is an Ogden graduate and the Chief of Police For the Ogden Police Department. Before working for Ogden, Chief Bailey worked with the Boone Police Department where he served as a patrol officer, general crimes investigator, and school resource officer. When he started working in Ogden he began offering services for the school district and became a part-time school resource officer for the Ogden Community School District in addition to his other duties with the Ogden Police Department. Chief Bailey lives in Ogden with his 2 sons.

My husband and I were born and raised in Colorado! Iowa was a big change when I move here ten years ago. I have 3 kids in the Ogden school district. When all three of them started in school full time, I obtained my real estate license and I work as a full time Realtor now as well as sitting in morning high school study halls. I love being with the kids, getting to know them, and being part of our school district! I spend most of my morning encouraging kids to get their homework turned in, having random conversations with them about their lives, school, and problem solving ways to tackle homework and getting grades up. It's such an honor to me that they talk to me and fell they can tell me just about anything that's on their minds.

In addition to teaching, I coach high school baseball. I'm an avid Nebraska Huskers fan and love participating in sporting activities with my family. My wife, Jamee, and I have four children, and we live in New Virginia, Iowa.

I pursued my passion for the arts, earning a degree in Art Education with an emphasis in Drawing from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master’s degree from Viterbo University. With 20 years of teaching experience spanning kindergarten to college-level courses, I bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to Ogden schools.

As a former collegiate wrestler, I enjoy sharing my skills by assisting with Bulldog Wrestling. As a professional artist, I’m passionate about inspiring creativity in students, leading initiatives like the high school’s art club.

Outside the classroom, I cherish time with my four children, love traveling with my fiancée, Nicole, and enjoy sharing my passion for visual arts by creating engaging content for my social media platforms.

I've developed lifelong friendships with colleagues that have become like additional members of our family.

Growing up on a farm in Northeast Iowa, I enjoyed spending time with my siblings, cousins and family. At the age of 15, Ogden became my home. After graduating from Ogden, I attended Iowa State University where I majored in Elementary Education. To further my education, I earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from Morningside College. Marriage has blessed me with three children who attend Ogden Schools. As a family, we enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling to National Parks, and being together. I am proud to teach in the Ogden Community Schools!

Linda Dutcher

My passion for English began at a young age; I was always on one of my parents' or grandparents' laps reading books, and that love for reading continues today. I currently teach English II and English III, but have also taught creative writing and young adult literature.  When I am not reading, I love to spend time with my family. I feel so fortunate to live on an acreage where I can embrace my farm-girl spirit. I have a small obsession with perennial flower gardens and repurposing "junk" into yard decor. My future dream is to have enough flower beds for friends to come and pick and enjoy for themselves.

Marissa Erickson is a dedicated educator passionate about teaching and learning through hands on experiences in the science classroom. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Iowa State University, followed by a Master's degree in Education from Dordt University. Ms. Erickson promotes critical thinking, experimentation, and student engagement in Biology, Earth Science, and Anatomy and Physiology. As a high school student council advisor, Ms. Erickson encourages students to be involved in the community and build pride in their school through various fundraising and community outreach programs.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Erickson enjoys traveling with friends, spending time with family, and enjoying live music. After working to achieve an EMT certification, Ms. Erickson serves the Ogden community as a first responder.

I’m a small-town Iowa boy, born and raised. I graduated high school from the Colo-NESCO Community School District and went on to pursue my love for science and soccer at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA. I started my career teaching physical science, chemistry, and physics, but eventually shifted to teaching computer science and robotics, which has been an exciting turn. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and participating in outdoor recreational activities like hiking, fishing, and hunting.

I grew up on a farm in West-Central Iowa with my parents and siblings. I loved spending time with my Grandmother learning how to sew, bake, do gardening, and how to take care of animals. After high school I attended DMACC then UNI for my Elementary Education degree. Currently I am Ogden's District Substitute. I love being able to work with all the different age groups (pre-k through high school), helping my fellow teachers out, and building relationships with all our kids! I would have to say my time at Ogden has been the best of my teaching career!

I love working with students and feel immense gratitude to work in a profession where I have the privilege of influencing lives and in return students influencing mine. They make me think deeper, smile a little more, and laugh often. When I'm not at school, I'm busy with my daughters and their many activities. On warmer days, you might spot me walking our Bernadoodle Lola around town. I love to read anything that inspires me and lately I'm found reading memoirs. My hope is to instill a life long love of reading in my students and own daughters. I don't have specific hobbies, but I enjoy life and whatever it offers. Currently, I'm enjoying weight training, making healthy meals, spending time with my girls, and anything that grabs my attention. A print in my home says, "There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy" Go out and find happiness! One of the ways I do that is by being a teacher.

I am a passionate, hardworking, and dedicated teacher—and proud to be an Ogden alum. I hold a degree in horticulture from Iowa State University, a Master’s Degree in Education from Purdue University, and an all-science endorsement in secondary education.

I take on leadership roles that enhance student achievement at high levels, including serving as a music booster member, science bowl coach, robotics team mentor, and sponsor for the computer, math, and science (CMS) program.

Outside of school, I enjoy baking, singing, exercising, quilting, and reading. I often share my personal hobbies with students to inspire and motivate them. By living and modeling a fulfilled life, I strive to be a positive role model for my students. I am dedicated to preparing them to become lifelong learners who can succeed in an ever-changing world.

My passion for language, literature, and empowering students through effective communication guided me to a career in the English classroom. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Drama and Theatre Arts from Queen Margaret University in my hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland. After immigrating to Iowa, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Education, followed by a Master's degree in English from Iowa State University. Known for integrating modern teaching techniques with classic and contemporary texts, I strive to create lessons that are both relevant and inspiring. I encourage my students to develop their reading comprehension, creative writing, and critical analysis skills in English I, English IV, and the DMACC Concurrent Enrollment programs. As the Yearbook Editor, I help students capture the memories of High School.

I also serve as the Drama Director and the IHSSA Speech Coach for Ogden schools, bringing texts to life through performance. As a student council advisor, I inspire students to take action in their community and build relationships through team-building activities. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling, walking my dogs with my husband, and reading the latest bestsellers.

As a College and Career Transition Counselor, I guide students in exploring college and career options, preparing them for the life post-high school, and making informed decisions about their academic and professional career pathways. I can assist students with college/trade school applications, employment applications, career assessments, resume building, financial aid, job shadows/apprenticeships, interview preparation, and more. I help students identify their strengths and passions to help set them up for success. My mission and passion is to empower and prepare students to confidently transition from high school to the next step in their educational or career journey.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in the Finance and Technology industries as a data scientist! While I had tons of fun in this previous career, I feel like I've found my true calling and true passion in teaching. A few years ago I also started the Tower Robotics team with JC Fuller and Amy Keenan - it's been so much fun helping kids learn about coding, design, and manufacturing!

My husband and I moved our two daughters here from Michigan. As North Dakota natives, we’ve enjoyed meeting new people and experiencing new cultures in the different places we’ve called home. We’re so happy to now call Iowa “home” and to live here with our family. Ogden schools were a big reason we chose this area, and I’m incredibly grateful to continue working in such a wonderful community and school district. Our kids and staff truly are the best!

Being native Nebraskans, we have become Iowans at heart, and we are so fortunate to have been able to raise our boys, Michael and Jared, in the Ogden area. Ogden has become a second home, and the friendships I have made while working at Ogden Community Schools will last a lifetime!

Ever since I took Spanish in high school and visited Mexico, I have loved the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. That love is something I try to share with my students every day ! I especially love using music in my classroom. As Herbie Hancock said, " Music happens to be an art form that transcends language." I have helped coach JH Volleyball the past three years after taking a long hiatus from coaching to be a mom to Ben and Ty, who are both Ogden graduates. My husband Brian and I also help out with Ogden wrestling and track meets and attend a lot of other school events. We love our Bulldogs !

Before working in education, I was a laboratory scientist. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and exploring my family history through genealogy.

Ogden became my home at the age of eleven. My parents were both educators in the public school system. I developed a love for children and their desire to learn through my parents' experiences as teachers. I am married, and we have three adult children plus one sweet French Bulldog, Ora!

I am the Ogden Community School District Nurse and divide my day between the two schools, assisting students with any medical  or health needs. My husband and I have four children, all who attend school here in Ogden.  I love spending time with family and friends. Our family is very active in 4H and the Elite Wrestling Club. I am passionate about the nursing profession and prioritize our students' health. My goal is to encourage our students to be successful by promoting general health and wellness throughout the district.
