While school is in session, the building is open for breakfast at 7:30 AM-7:45 AM. Students are allowed to their classrooms at 7:45 AM. West Sycamore Street is closed to all traffic except buses dropping/picking up students from 7:30 AM-8:00 AM and 2:40 PM-3:10 PM (1:40 PM-2:10 PM on Wednesdays). You may use NW 3rd Street to drop off/pick up your student(s) (one way only).
In an effort to increase our building safety measures and to better insure the safety of all children, during the school day we will be asking all visitors to the building to identify themselves and to state the purpose of their visit before we will buzz them in. I grew up in Ogden and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to establish my career in the community that shaped me. While attending Iowa State University, I was fortunate to secure a coaching position for Junior High Boys Basketball. After graduating Iowa State University, a teaching position opened up as well. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of leading and assisting in a variety of activities, from Junior High to High School levels. Currently, I serve as the Head Coach for the High School Girls Basketball team, as well as coaching football and Shot/Discus for both boys and girls track. My diverse coaching roles have allowed me to foster student-athletes' growth and development across multiple sports, and I remain committed to providing a positive impact both on and off the field.

Ethan Bailey is an Ogden graduate and the Chief of Police For the Ogden Police Department. Before working for Ogden, Chief Bailey worked with the Boone Police Department where he served as a patrol officer, general crimes investigator, and school resource officer. When he started working in Ogden he began offering services for the school district and became a part-time school resource officer for the Ogden Community School District in addition to his other duties with the Ogden Police Department. Chief Bailey lives in Ogden with his 2 sons.

My family and I moved here from Kansas. I have taught in special education classrooms and have worked as a certified occupational therapy assistant in nursing homes, hospitals and schools before moving to Iowa. Growing up on a farm in Northeast Iowa, I enjoyed spending time with my siblings, cousins and family. At the age of 15, Ogden became my home. To further my education, I earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from Morningside College. Marriage has blessed me with three children who attend Ogden Schools. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and I've been teaching at Ogden ever since. I usually work with small groups of students in reading intervention at the middle school, but I also teach a class of 8th grade ELA, and serve as the ESL teacher for the district. When I'm not teaching you can find me reading in a hammock, crafting, or playing with my cat Milo.

I grew up in the Johnston, IA area with my three younger sisters and parents. I attended Iowa State University for a Liberal Studies degree, then attended Upper Iowa University to obtain my Elementary Education degree. I have a passion for teaching and building strong, meaningful relationships with my students. I was raised in Mississippi and moved to Iowa when I was 17 years old. My husband, Kyle and our daughter, Mary and I currently live in Ogden. We enjoy going for walks with our dog, Archie and hanging out with our family. Much of our time is spent working with our local church youth group and completing home renovation projects. I grew up on a farm in West-Central Iowa with my parents and siblings. I loved spending time with my Grandmother learning how to sew, bake, do gardening, and how to take care of animals. I love being able to work with all the different age groups (pre-k through high school), helping my fellow teachers out, and building relationships with all our kids! Hello! My name is Michelle Kruse. My husband (Pat) and I have 3 children, 1 son-in-law, and 2 daughter-in-laws. They are Kennedy (Jack), Kayden (Abby) and Kolson (Maddie) In my time in Ogden, I have taught 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grades. I have taught Computer classes, Social Studies, and Math. I have also coached several sports during my career. I earned a Associate of Arts degree at Iowa Lakes Community College, where I played basketball and softball. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Iowa State University. I also have my Masters Educator degree from Morningside University. I was born and raised a Iowa Hawkeye fan and love attending athletic events in Iowa City. I live in the country with my husband Brandon and our four children that attend Ogden Community Schools. We enjoy spending time together on vacations, at Twin Lakes with grandparents and on the family farm. We have many animals, including sheep, alpaca, chickens, cats, one dog, one hamster, one betta fish and one bearded dragon.
