This scholarship is presented in honor of Sgt. Daniel L. Sesker, a graduate of Ogden High School. In 2000,  Dan enlisted in the Iowa Army National Guard and deployed to Kosovo and Iraq. On April 6, 2006,  Sergeant Sesker made the ultimate sacrifice for his country when he was killed by a roadside bomb  explosion while serving in Iraq. We want to bring awareness to this in a positive way via this scholarship.
