2024 MS Positive Potatoes

December 4, 2024

December 2024

Positive Potato is Ogden Middle School's version of Student of the Month with an extra fun title!  One student is awarded from each grade.  The students are selected by the adults in the building based on these character traits: respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, caring, and always trying to improve. The Positive Potato recipients this month are:

8th Grade: Tay Weldon

7th Grade: Dawson Jones

6th Grade: Parker Lloyd

The students are given a certificate with the educator's feedback for them. Here is just a snapshot of the one the students chose to share:

Tay, I want you to know how proud I am of you—not just for your work in math, but for the way you’ve shown respect, responsibility, and care for those around you. You’re always on-task during class and bring such a positive presence—it's a joy to have you as a student. This reward is well-deserved, and I hope you feel proud of yourself too!  - Mrs. Loerts

Dawson - You are certainly deserving of this award from your teachers. You come to class with a great attitude and a smile every day. You're responsible in your work and always want to do your best. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have you in class. Thanks for being a great example to others!  - Mrs. Joseph

Parker has such positive energy and never fails to greet me with a big “How are you Ms. Terri?”.  From the sidelines to the classroom we always have a great time!   - Ms. Terri

Thank you to these people and businesses for their support of our amazing young people: Kim McCormick for her stellar crochet skills (each winner receives their very own positive potato with a superhero cape), The Well for their donation of drink coupons, and Ogden Fareway for their donation of snacks.
