October Student of the Month

October 5, 2022

Emmett Lewiston is the O.H.S. Student of the Month for October.  Emmett is the son of Greg and Kim and the brother to Isaac and Simon.

Emmett has been involved in several activities at Ogden and has excelled in the classroom and in his activities. In athletics, Emmett has been involved in Football and was a letter winner three seasons.  Emmett had great success on the football field earning 2nd Team All-County Honors his Junior and Senior years and Academic All-District three seasons.  Emmett has also been nominated for Academic All-State in Football this season through the IFCA and exceeds the standards to receive this award.  Emmett is also a valued member of our excellent band program and has participated in the concert band and drumline.

In addition to his success in the activities at Ogden Emmett has done excellent in the classroom and his honors reflect that.  Emmett was selected to the National Honor Society and has been a member of the school's honor roll every semester of his high school career.  His dedication to academic excellence continues as he pushes himself his Senior year with a difficult work load and class schedule.

Without question if you know Emmett you have seen his work ethic.  Whether it be on the farm with his family or during a volunteer opportunity Emmett flat out knows how to work and work hard!  Emmett is the first one through the door and if he’s the last left he will continue to work until the job is complete.  Emmett’s confidence has grown significantly during his time at Ogden and this combined with his work ethic, big heart, and sense of humor has set him up for success when he graduates this May.

Emmett’s future plans include attending DMACC and to continue working with his Dad on the family farm.  Emmett has shown over this past year that each hurdle he faces in life only makes him stronger and more prepared for the next.  Ogden was fortunate to have had Emmett with us all these years and we look forward to watching his successes in the future.

 Congratulations Emmett!
